Where’s Life Not Working?

by Elaine Jessica ~

Monday, JUNE 14, the Sun (our life force representing the “will” and the desire to command our highest expression) is at a 90 degree angle with Neptune (the dreamy and other worldly dimension of sensitivities and intuition).  So those who are accustomed to exacting decisions may find themselves waning in their vitality a bit as this transit can reduce quick mental acuity and increase confusion.

This transit is also compounded by the fact that we are in the middle of Mercury retrograde (communication) holding potential for miscommunication.   If feeling personally affected, allow this to pass by delaying high stress dealings if it feels right to do so.

Astrology gifts us insight to how we can serve our highest good, so rather than be in a place of frustration or worry, this knowing fosters the flexibility to fine tune solutions as they show up.  We can truly make great strides in life when we’re aware of the appropriate times to be in a state of “being.”  Heightened Neptunian energy can bring about great works of art and beauty into the world .

A big theme of the week is the exact square (90 degree angle) between Saturn and Uranus – the second of three exact squares between these two planets this year.  The representation of the outer playing field mirroring our inner field is an awakening of sorts for us with respect to what we are currently living through with Covid-19.  Freedom (Uranus) for some is taking the vaccine and freedom for others is the choice to not take the vaccine; this is somewhat based on how one views the current structure (government – Saturn) and how it plays into one’s internal dialogue.  The polarities of freedom and structure, innovation and tradition, will carry on long into the future and how each of us moves through these events are indicators of where our “inner world” is sitting.

Saturn square Uranus brings themes of “status quo” meeting revolution, of rebellion and freedom versus the old structure and tradition. This transit shows us where life isn’t working for us.  It helps us see what we are seeking…

The beauty in the tension created this year with Uranus (freedom, intuition and wisdom) and Saturn (tradition, structure) is that it supplies the “entrepreneurs and creatives” an abundance of creativity and spontaneity!  Those who are awakened to these opportunities can tap into their creative ways and act in their highest expression, eliciting new and fantastic ideas.  Conversely, the archetypal stories of wars (past and present) can induce the flight/fight response in some, disconnecting them from the “bigger picture.”  But where we stay open minded and flexible, our challenges can be viewed as opportunities, changing the dynamics of what was perceived as restriction or limits into blessings and mind blowing ideas.  Let’s work at it!

Jupiter stations retrograde on Sunday, JUNE 20.  It will be joining Pluto, Saturn and Mercury – all in retrograde.  Currently at 2 degrees Pisces, Jupiter will move back into Aquarius just before the end of July, until it  stations direct in mid October.

So what does all this retrograde mean?
The Universe has set the stage for us to slow down
in introspection to re-think, feel and co-create from
a place of understanding and practicality for
the highest expression of ourselves and the world around us.

Jupiter’s retrograde on Sunday, JUNE 20, also forms a Grand Trine (easy, lucky aspect) with the Sun and Moon.   This brings a day of optimism, generosity, warmth and a dose of financial luck.  There may be something revealed that has been sitting latent (awaiting for the inspiration to be expressed) and/or there may be a “purpose” that has been wanting to come forward but the time hasn’t come until now to feel ready…

Ask Yourself This Week:

“As we are in the last week of Gemini season it’s a good time to focus (especially while Mercury is retrograde) on understanding the impact of our own communication.  Do my words hurt or heal?”

Gemini’s path is all about communication and expression. The words we say to ourselves and to others have an immediate impact on emotions and on our brains.  Words teach us how we “are” in the world.  So much in the world is out of our own hands leaving us feeling frustration and helpless, yet we have influence… through the words we choose to use, through our thought forms and expressions.

The Yamas are codes of social and moral conduct.  They are the first limb of the Eight Limbs of Yoga as described by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras.

The first of five Yamas is called “Ahimsa” which is non-violence towards all living things.  This Vedic wisdom system by which Yogis live is to maintain a mind-body-spirit connection to self while seeing the spirit in all living things and live accordingly.  Non-violence refers to everything from thoughts to words to actions.

Words we use become our belief system.  This is the perfect time to reflect on our thoughts, words and therefore belief systems, to see where changes can help us to heal ourselves and those in receipt of our expressions.

When we have thoughts that are not in our highest expression, try this self correcting practice to remove the energy and release us of their impact:  Cut, Clear, Delete!

Communication affects our nervous system so let’s take the utmost care to sooth ourselves and influence the world around us by being in awareness of our impact.

I look forward to sharing more about the Cosmos with you again next week…
