A Time For Love & Liberty

by Elaine Jessica ~

Maybe it’s the deep freeze lifting, but optimism is in the air.  I love the Aquarian times, a water bearer sign, and this season of Pisces we’ve just entered, a water sign.  Both hold healing qualities that we are so in need of these days.

Saturn (the original ruler of Aquarius in traditional Astrology) will be in Aquarius for the next couple of years and it’s an important planet to take note of as it sets the tone, or colors the lens, through which we look at life globally.  On the peripheral, we take note of the advancements in technology, the virtual networks and the scientific gains that advance our societies.

But deeper, on a humanistic level, Saturn in Aquarius surfaces the inner healer within us.  It nudges us to open our minds to understanding and welcoming that which is different.  We are faced with this time of realizing our own karma – sustaining the planet and humanity.  We are all (whether we realize it or not) being guided through a transformation of the collective consciousness, lending ourselves to the creation of a more equality based society; we are in a revolution.  We are being challenged to meet our personal identities with a new perspective to become conscious of our thoughts, our actions and our desires – asking ourselves:  Is this purposeful?  Is this helpful?

We spend so much of our lives asleep, constantly reliving
the past in our sub-conscious thoughts – a programmed loop.
Saturn in Aquarius is helping us to unchain ourselves and
thoughtfully move forward with purpose.

Where your personal Saturn is in your chart speaks volumes to what it is that you are here to understand in terms of your personal soul’s directive.  Saturn gets a bad wrap with adjectives like boundaries and restrictions.  Its wisdom is beyond those descriptives because it’s here to tell you the path of least resistance in order for you to meet your greatest life.

On Monday/Tuesday, FEBRUARY 22 / 23, the Sun in Pisces is coalescing with the Moon in Cancer.  They’re both water signs, so if you’re feeling a little more quiet than usual use the time to beautify your inner world with music, peace and quiet.  It’s an internal energy that may have us feeling sensitive. Discernment to our sensitivities is important during these couple of days as we are heading toward a full Moon this weekend.  Just notice (without judgement) what it is you’re feeling and pay attention without reacting.  Dreaming?  You may want to write your dreams down.

As we continue with the theme of tension between Saturn and Uranus (first of three times this squaring occurs in 2021), bringing change that may not be wanted or asked for (my mind goes to the pandemic restrictions, governmental outcomes), our guidance is to remain flexible, open and adaptable while clarity informs us of what isn’t working in our lives anymore…

And with that in mind, on Wednesday and Thursday, FEBRUARY 24 / 25, Mars and Pluto dance together in harmony influencing our directed goals, ambitions and ideas that have been rumbling, readying to be brought up and out into the open. The placement of these planets may also have us feeling stimulated by the mysteries of all things spiritual and taking an introspective look into our own healing of sorts.

On Thursday and into Friday, FEBRUARY 25 / 26, the Sun (ego) and Uranus (change, futuristic) bring stimulation by virtue of their close working relationship these couple of days.  When we water the earth things grow!  So, a sense of curiosity may bring about insight and discoveries.

These are a creative couple of days and it’s easy to feel a little scattered so be open to conversation, new people and ideas.  These are often the doorways that open for us and with a little insight, walking through to something exciting is just a matter of deciding and asking:  “Is this purposeful, helpful and heartfelt?”

On Saturday, FEBRUARY 27, the Full Moon in Virgo brings with it a warm soothing calm, a welcoming tide. The climatic emotional charge that normally comes with a Full Moon is tangible in a good way this month.   Simultaneously, the Sun (Pisces – healing) and the moon (Virgo – fixes) are both in harmonious aspects with Uranus.

It’s worth mentioning that Venus is in close proximity to the Sun in Pisces as well, idealizing relations. Together, there’s an anticipation of receiving some good news. These energies bring a restored faith in humanity and all that we have to look forward to.  It feels like it’s coming together… one step at a time with a solid landing as we embrace all that the healing energies are bringing during these transformative times.

Ask Yourself This Week:

set your intentions and allow Universe

“Am I willing to use my mind in a conscious way to streamline the changes I have been working toward?”

Intention is everything.  Setting the intention to be consciously aware of your choices and thoughts begins with setting it up each day.

  • Upon rising everyday, take a moment to give self direction as to how you desire the day to go.
  • Set an intention(s) for the day.
  • Sit in meditation for a few minutes to check in and inform.
  • At the end of the day at bedtime, do a recapitulation of the day’s experiences – without judgement or critique.
  • Finish with gratitude for all the experiences of the day.

Build upon this practice by doing it each day, as practice of intention and recapitulation becomes an easy practice to self care, self nurturing and self growth actions that bring about joy and happiness.

I look forward to sharing more about the cosmos next week….
